Women's Soccer lands first 2018 recruit

Auburn, ME - Coming off the most successful season in program history, Head Women's Soccer Coach, Rob Rodriguez, has announced the first recruiting commitment for 2018.  Rachel Dunn, a senior at Marshfield High School in Marshfield, MA has committed to the women's soccer team.

According to Dunn, who will be studying in the Physical Fitness Specialist program, "I wanted to get out of Massachusetts, and after visiting a couple of schools in Maine, I really felt like Central Maine was the best fit for me.  The love the location and the family atmosphere; the school just offers so much, whether it's academic programming, or academic support, the strength and conditioning, it's just the complete package."

Coach Rodriguez commented, "Rachel visited the school several times, including watching practice, touring, and attending our recruit day in November.  It was easy for us to tell she would be a great fit for our program and college.  She has good speed and ball control, and her field awareness is tremendous.  I think Rachel is a tremendous addition to our program, and a timely addition as we look to further establish our 218 recruiting class."
