Women's Soccer adds PRHS midfielder

Auburn, ME - Head Women's Soccer Coach, Rob Rodriguez, is pleased to announce the latest commitment to the women's soccer program in Katelynn Greene from Poland Regional High School.

In addition to playing soccer for Poland, Katelynn was also a member of their state champion track team, doing many of the speed events for them, as well as a member of the National Honor Society.

PRHS Girls Varsity Soccer Coach, Tim Dolley, commented, "Katelynn is a great kid who works very hard, is very fast, and will do anything for her teammates. She was a great outside midfielder for us and is like a sponge, soaking up all the feedback from her coaches."

Coach Rodriguez added, "Our outside midfielders log a lot of miles in a game, playing goal line to goal line, so being able to combine speed with that endurance will make our attack that much more dangerous. Katelynn is a versatile player who is willing to play anywhere on the field but her primary position is outside midfielder where she excelled for Poland Regional High School as a three-year starter. She is extremely fast, and will add a lot of speed to our attack.""

According to Greene, "I chose CM because it is close to home and offered the opportunity to play soccer. I feel playing in college will be very different because of the faster pace of the game but I am looking forward to coming here to play, make new friends, and develop myself into a better player and person. I always try to be positive and have a good attitude so I feel I can bring that to the team."
