Men's Soccer continues dominance

Auburn, ME - The Mustangs finished the conference regular season with a 10-0-win vs Hampshire college. With the win the Mustangs repeated as regular season YSCC champions. The second title in program history.

Ivan Domingues, who has been lethal in front of goal this season, scored his second hat-trick of the season to bring his tally to 22 goals. He leads the conference in goals and in points at 53 points. Brother Igor scored 2 goals and had 2 assists to his tally for the season. His 2 goals brings him joint second in scoring with 13. He also is 2nd in points with 39 points.

Justin Violette scored his 8th goal of the season and added an assist. His 19 points pushed him into the top 10 offensive players in the conference. A remarkable feat as last night was Violette's first start of the season. Jeremiah Gomez continued his goal scoring form with another goal to add to his 2 goals scored against SMCC on Thursday. Gomez also added an assist, bringing his total to 6 goals and 5 assists for the freshmen.

Moses Lumu, Zoubeyr Abdilahi, and Emmanuel Kalala also got on the score sheet. With Sam Boynton and David Nzuzi getting assists. Nzuzi's 2 assist being his 10th and team high of the season. His 20 points being another top-10 conference ranking.

Davin Cloutier got the start in goal maintaining a clean sheet. His second of the regular season. Arnaud Nyagasaza being credited with four, and Arnaud and Davin splitting one. In a remarkable feat the Mustangs did not concede a single goal during the 7 games of conference play. With Alfie Bashford, Isidoro Domingues, Celda Mouckala, Zoubeyr Abdillahi and Raimundo Lubota sharing the minutes and the credit along with Nyagasaza and Cloutier for this feat.

In total the Mustangs have scored 43 goals and conceded 7 in seven games. Winning 7 out of 7 games as they enter the YSCC tournament as the #1 seed and favorites to repeat as champions.

With the win the Mustangs moved to 7-0 in conference play and 10-1-1 overall. They return to action on October 23rd when the host USCAA D1 powerhouse UMaine Fort Kent before the YSCC tournament on Oct 28th and 29th.
