Mustangs stampede Moose

Augusta, ME - Men's Soccer traveled to UMaine Augusta for a non-conference game. The game finished heavily in the favor of the Mustangs 14-0.

 

1st half highlights 

2:30 Ivan Domingues combined with David Nzuzi before Ivan passed to his brother Igor to finish low into the goal.

5:30 Ivan would soon get on the scoresheet. A through ball by Jeremiah Gomez found David Nzuzi on the wing. Nzuzi fed the ball across to Ivan to finish past the dive of the goalkeeper.

9:30 Igor returned the favor assisting brother Ivan for his second of the game.

16:25 Ordi Bimvy found himself on the right edge of the 18-yard box, dribbling through the defense his powerful shot was only parried by the UMA goalkeeper with the ball looping up and into the net.

25:36 David Nzuzi receives a long through ball from Jeremiah Gomez. Nzuzi uses his pace to get behind the defense and finishes calmy past the goalkeeper.

26:06 Ivan Domingues completes his first half hat-trick, with Jeremiah Gomez once more providing the assist. 

30:05 A long pass by Moses Lumu is redirected by Justin Violette to Igor Domingues who finishes past the outrushing Moose keeper.

2nd half highlights

56:36 Jeremiah Gomez receives the ball from David Nuzzi to score his first goal of the season.

65:30 Igor Domingues completes his hat trick with a headed goal off of Nzuzi's corner

71:00 Emmanuel Kalala scores his first goal of the season from close range. Jeremiah Gomez dribbles the ball from deep in the midfield rounding the keeper for Kalala to score from close range into the open net.

79:45 David Nzuzi used his pace to get in behind the UMA backline. The opportunity seemed to have disappeared, but Nzuzi cut the ball back across the goal before finishing with a well-placed shot.

87:45 Zoubeyr Abdillahi places a free kick high above the keepers dive for the final goal of the game.

With the win the Mustangs move to 3-0-1 for the season with the Moose falling to 0-3-1. The Mustangs are on the road again this Saturday as they travel to Vermont State University Randolph for a conference game.
