Auburn,Maine - Whenever you attend a CM sporting event, you are bound to run into Roxanne or Mike of RAM photography. RAM was named this year as the official photographer of CM athletics. RAM which refers to "Roxann and Mike" was officially started as RAM Sport in April 2014. However, they have been taking photos individually and together much before that official date. Mike's first digital camera was a point and shoot camera, which they still display in their house. They used a Canon 30D and a Sony NEX camera. He would then purchase a second one for Roxann to shoot with him. Soon after, they would both use a Canon 60D. Both Roxann and Mike have used 70D, 80D, and 90D cameras as well. Laughingly, Mike wouldn't tell us the cost of his most recent camera purchase. "You don't want to know, but you can look it up. It was a Canon R6." says Mike.
There isn't anything that Mike doesn't like about photography. He says it truly is a great art to share with others! Everyone at CM and around the local area are blessed to have RAM attend so many sporting events as it is just a side job for both Mike and his wife Roxann. Mike works as a receiver at the Shaw's Supermarkets and Roxann works in the photography field with another company. Although RAM photography tends to stay local, they have travelled as far as Florida and all over New England for events.
RAM photography isn't strictly just for sporting events as they also have covered weddings, senior portraits, family photos, comedy shows, parades, local bands, and more! Their main focus is sporting events as they have invested in the equipment necessary to work in that field, but can cover other events as well. This can be contributed to what got Mike into photography. For him, it was playing and watching sports. "It is the thrill of capturing the 'Big' photo as well as sharing them with others that is the best!" says Mike. In Roxann's eyes, she has loved photography since grade school!
