Concord, NH - A tired and sore Mustang team took to the road today to face the top-ranked Lynx of New Hampshire Technical Institute. Central Maine could never really get things going in a game that saw most of the play moving through the middle third of the field and into the Mustang defensive end.

The four-back defensive unit of Cheyenne Gray, Meghan Desjardins, Emily Rubino, and Dakota Goguen was under pressure most of the half.  NHTI got on the scoreboard at the eleven minute mark of the first half on an unassisted goal.  After two more goals four minutes apart, the Mustangs then settled in and started to move the ball a little bit, keeping the game in the middle third of the field and occasionally attacking the Lynx goal. Central Maine was able to keep NHTI from scoring through the remaining thirty-seven minutes of the half through strong defensive play and an outstanding performance from goalkeeper Shantel Camber. The half ended 3-0 in favor of New Hampshire.

The second half saw more of the same and it would take the Lynx about fifteen minutes to put their fourth goal of the game in. Their fifth goal came ten minutes later with the sixth and final NHTI goal coming at the 85 minute mark. Overall NHTI took 37 total shots on Central Maine goalkeeper Camber, with 19 of them being on frame.

The game ended 6-0, and although it was a small step backward from their more recent performances, it was still a big improvement over their first meeting of the year with NHTI. The Mustangs look forward to a four-day break to recover, heal up a bit, and come back completely recharged the middle of next week so they can finish their final week of the season strong.
