Mustangs trample Knights for first win

Haverhill, MA - The Mustangs took to the road Friday afternoon and captured their first win of the season against Northern Essex Community College.

Around twenty minutes into the match CM freshman Mohamed Abdikadir cleanly finished a give and go from midfielder Suab Nur.  The score remained 1-0 in favor of the Mustangs at halftime. The second half saw a few missed opportunities until Mohamedamin Nur received a through ball from center back Moutaram Abdourahman and gave the Mustangs a more comfortable 2-0 lead. That score would hold.

Dido Lumu had eight saves in goal for CM while Jonathan Chasse had seven saves for NECC.

After the game Head Men's Soccer Coach, Bryan Wallace, said, "It was nice to find some success today. We had two nice assists which led to our goals.  As a team we need to make sure we finish opportunities early and put games out of reach for opponents. A great win to build off of."
