Women's Basketball eases past Vermont State Johnson

Auburn, ME - With a limited lineup, the Mustangs showed their depth on their way to a 74-34 victory over the Badgers of Vermont State University Johnson (NCAA DIII). Playing without point guards Rosa Prieto and Mikenzie Melendez (illness), the Mustangs did not slow down, forcing 41 turnovers.

Molly Corbett led the way for CM connecting on 5 triples to finish with a career-high 19 points. She also racked up 5 steals and 4 rebounds. Ella Lavinge has a quiet 10 points and 8 rebounds, while Destiny Mora Lopez played great defense and finished with 10 points. Riley Hebler was relentless on defense coming away with a career-high 6 steals, while also scoring a career-high 14 points.

With the win the Mustangs move to 20-1 overall. They will be back in action on Sunday, February 11th (2pm) when they take on UMaine Fort Kent. The Bengals represent the only loss on the Mustangs record.
