After the game Head Coach Bruce Robertson, commented, " Game 1 was a pitchers and defensive duel. Each team trying to capitilize on the other teams mistakes. Unfortunatly the we committed one error and the UMPI had no errors. Sometimes a long drive can effect how you play. We played a tough team and gave them all they could handle. We have been focusing on limiting our errors which we did a good job but we committed 1  and they took advantage of that error. Avery pitched a great game we just stranded to many on base. Game two saw us use 2 pitchers. Makayla pitched well in the start but we had two early errors which again UMPI take advantage of. In the 5th we brought Olivia Scott in who was coming off a back injury. Olivia pitched very well. Going into the 7th inning we were down 2-0 we got a couple on base and Haley had a big hit tieing the game up. They just got one good hit in the bottom of the 7th to get the win. Playing tough out of confrence teams like UMPI is good for us. It only makes us a better team and will help prepare us for our Spring season."
