Women's Basketball Hosts Clinic for Rangeley Lady Lakers

Rangeley, ME - This past weekend, Head Women's Basketball Coach, Andrew Morong, along with returning Lady Mustangs, Jenny Schlim, Nicole Hamblin, and Seve Deery-Deraps, ran a 2-day clinic at Rangeley Lakes Regional School.  The Lady Lakers, who won the Class D State Championship this past winter, is the alma mater of 2 current Lady Mustangs, Deery-Deraps, and Taylor Esty.

The clinic, which included middle school and high school girls, focused on individual skill building and competitive team drills.

According to Coach Morong, "This clinic was a great opportunity for all those involved.  It was such an enjoyable experience, because Coach Deery has created an enviroment within the Lady Laker program where the young women are eager to learn, improve, and compete.  Jenny, Nicole, and Seve did a tremendous job instructing and encouraging the players.  It was also a great opportunity for two well-respected programs to strengthen their relationship."

Girls Varsity Basketball Coach, Heidi Deery, on the clinic, "Coach Morong and his players provided the most productive and intense clinic in my 22 years of coaching.  Every player developed their skill set and a higher level of intensity.  Players left empowered to develop their game this summer because of the direct instruction and positive feedback that they received from Coach Morong and the CM players."
