Augusta, ME - After a back and forth, but slow first half, CM found themselves in an unfamiliar position, tied at half time.  With the score knotted up at 26 a piece, the Lady Mustangs went into the locker room knowing their best basketball was still ahead of them.

Finally in the 3rd quarter, the pressure defense got to the Moose, leading to several easy baskets by the Mustangs.  After another similar surge in the 4th, CM had a 20-point lead.  UMA would make a small run towards the end of the game, but the Lady Mustangs would hold on for the 12-point win.

Tianna Harriman (Auburn, ME) dropped in six 3's to finish with 18 points.  Jenny Schlim (Nottingham, NH) took 2 charges and finished with 11 points.  Brooke Reynolds (Poland, ME) was once again a defensive force, scoring 14 points, and getting 7 rebounds and 7 steals.  Kristina Blais (Lewiston, ME) finished 9 points and 2 steals off the bench.

Caitlin LaFountain led the Moose with 19 points, while Jamie Plummer finished with a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds.

With the win CM improves to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the Yankee Conference.  A brutal stretch of games await the ladies next week.  Thursday the Lady Mustangs host NHTI (6pm), on Friday they travel to NCAA DIII powerhouse, and preseason nationally ranked (19th), Bowdoin College (7pm), and on Sunday they skip across to bridge to face another NESCAC foe, Bates College (4pm)
