Late Innings Heroics Salvage Split

Auburn, ME -  It took the Mustangs 11 innings to come away with the win on a walk off wild pitch that scored Brandon Gour. The Mustangs clawed their way back to tie the game three different times to keep their hopes alive. Wyatt Knightly had three hits including a triple and two runs scored to lead the Mustangs. Hudson Burris and Brady Vincent were also repeat hitters.

The Mustangs used a plethora of pitchers in the 11 inning affair. It was Jeff Meisner who picked up the win coming in and pitching the 11th inning. The Mustang pitching combined for 12 strikeouts.

"We just need to get healthy" said head coach Ryan Palmer. "Right now, we have six starters nursing injuries with a couple of them being significant. Ultimately we have to play better. Still leaving way too many runners on base."
