The CM Mustangs baseball team swept a doubleheader with NHTI, winning game one 4-0 and game two 11-1. In doing so, head coach Ryan Palmer became the all-time winningest coach in CM baseball history, surpassing Dan Coleman. He appropriately got a Gatorade bath from Athletic Director Dave Gonyea.

In game 1, Garett Harvey was masterful on the mound, throwing a complete game one-hitter and striking out five. Trevor Phelps led the offensive attack with two hits, including a double and an RBI. Colton Frisbie also added a hit and an RBI.

In game 2, Levi Tibbetts had two hits, one of which was a towering two-run home run to left field in the third inning. Ryan Stone, Mason Booker, Lee Robertson, Rhen Trinidade, and Derek Roman contributed to the hit attack. Trinidade and Roman, who are primarily pitchers, got to pinch-hit, and both of their hits helped achieve the mercy rule in the fifth inning.

Before the games, the Mustangs recognized their six seniors: Brogan McCormick, Kaleb Thompson, Trevor Phelps, Garett Harvey, Rhen Trinidade, and Derek Roman.

"Today was about the seniors," said head coach Ryan Palmer. "They have sacrificed a lot and were all great teammates," he added. "As far as the games go, it was nice to get two wins. We have struggled in game two of doubleheaders. It was nice to finally put a team away."

The Mustangs are back in action on Tuesday night in Auburn at 4:00 as they face Quincy College in the final game of the regular season.
