Mustangs fall short against Dubois

The CM Mustangs started their Spring trip in Pennsylvania with a 5-2 loss against defending national champion Penn St Dubois. This was the Mustang's first game of the spring and the Nittany Lion's ninth game.
The CM offense was led by Garren Post who reached base twice including a monster two-run home run in the 5th inning. Hayden Durrell had a single in the second inning.
On the mound for the Mustangs, Levi Tibbetts started and Trevor Phelps came in relief. They both had short leashes as the plan will be for them to throw again on Saturday.
"I'll never be happy about a loss," said head coach Ryan Palmer. "But for us to come down here in our first game of the spring and compete with the best team in the country gives us promise"
The Mustangs are back in action again on Thursday as they once again play Penn St Dubois with a 4:00 pm first pitch
