Boston, MA - In a fast pace first period the Mustangs stayed patient. After a back and forth start they would find themselves using the momentum created by a couple good shifts to score 4 unanswered goals in 5 minutes. Once the Mustangs were able to establish a 5-0 lead, they made a couple little mistakes that sled to w Wentworth scoring 2 quick goals to make it a game.
In the third period the Mustangs were able to lock it down after a couple of adjustments and make the end score 8-3 for the 2nd victory of the year.
Head Men's Ice Hockey Coach, Jordy Knoren, commented, "I felt like we played better than last week, but still made too many little errors to give up 3 goals. Our offense has been clicking pretty well and it is noticeable. I expect us to get better in the D and neutral zone once the whole system starts clicking. The team played with tons of heart tonight, and they deserved this hard-fought win!"
The Mustangs will be back in action on home ice tomorrow, October 15th @ 3.30 pm against the University of New England.
