Mustangs' at the ACHA Nationals

In their inaugural appearance at ACHA Nationals, the Mustangs Hockey Team faced a series of challenging matchups during pool play in St. Louis. Coming off their NECHA Championship victory, they aimed to make a statement on the national stage.

Their first game against the United States Air Force Academy proved to be a tough battle. Despite a late surge, the Mustangs fell short, losing 3-2 after being down 3-0 earlier in the game.

The second game saw them facing off against the University of Missouri. In a hard-fought contest, the Mustangs struggled to keep pace and eventually fell 6-3 to the Missouri squad.

In their final pool play game, the Mustangs squared off against Michigan State, a team they had beaten earlier in the season. The game went into overtime, ending in a 2-2 tie.

Despite the mixed results, the Mustangs showed resilience and determination throughout the tournament. While their ACHA Nationals journey may have ended sooner than hoped, they demonstrated the potential for success in future seasons. With valuable experience gained from this inaugural appearance, the Mustangs look forward to building on their achievements and striving for even greater success in the seasons to come.
