The Mustangs would split the series with Calvin wining the 1st game 5-4, but unfortunately dropping the 2nd game with a final score of 2-1.
1st game the Mustangs came out strong and earned respect right from the 1st puck drop. In a very back and forth game heading into the 3rd period the score was tied at 2-2. Calvin would have a good stretch of play and put the Mustangs down 4-2 with 7 minutes left to play, what came next was resiliency and believe that it was still possible after Cam Knowles scored the 4-3 the Mustangs would go on a 5-3-man advantage scoring 2 more goals making the final score 5-4

2nd game: A tough turn around against a very good team but the Mustangs committed to their structure and would find the 1-0 lead trough a Gabe Poirier breakaway. The game would stay extremely physical and Calvin came out pushing in the 3rd and would find the equalizer with 5 minutes left in the game on the power play. Calvin would not stop and won a clean face-off a minute later to hand the Mustangs a 2-1 loss
Coach Knoren said" The system and structure commitment from our team was incredible, unfortunately in the 3rd we got pushed back to much and we held on for awhile, it's a game of inches and tonight we came up just short but nothing to hang their heads about incredible work ethic all around "
