Men's Ice Hockey wins on the road

Bridgeton ME - It was a quick turnaround for the Mustangs, with a 12pm start time against the St. Joseph's College Monks.

The Mustangs were able to establish more zone pressure after a sluggish first 5 minutes, as they have done many times this season, they would be able to score quick goals to give themselves a comfortable lead 4-0 after the 1st period.

The 2nd periods has not been the Mustangs strength and once again they would make a couple of mistakes to give St Joes 3 goals and all the sudden find themselves in a close game with 1 period left to play.

The 3rd period was a solid one for the Mustangs, good pressure and d-zone coverage let to many chances but unfortunately, they weren't able to find much success. Aiden Hartwell who has been playing exceptionally, found a rebound late in the period to make the score 7-3.

After the game, Head Men's Ice Hcokey Coach, Jordy Knoren, said, "We can take a lot of good lessons out of this game. Looking ahead on the schedule we have some crucial games coming up and we will see where we stand early on in the season. I am super proud of our team through the first part of the season. A couple of injuries have hit us, but our 'next guy up' mentality has been a success. We knew at the start of the season that a 30-guy roster was needed. I cannot be more proud of guys rotating in the line-up and giving us solid performances.''
