Mustangs Mow Down Rams 90-46

Unity, ME – With Corey David and Mark McDonald nursing injuries on the bench, the CM bench stepped up Wednesday to lead the Mustangs to a 90-46 win over the Unity Rams.

A slow start by CM gave some hope to the home team.   That was short lived.  A decisive 28-6 run in the middle of the first half sent the home team in a spiral.  Luke McCusker came off the bench to ignite the run hitting back to back threes and Charles Cedre added two buckets as well.  CM went to halftime with a 47-22 lead.

The second half was more of the same.  All Mustangs contributed in the scoring column.

Malik Farley enjoyed his second double double in two games with a team high 16 points and 11 rebounds.  Cedre added 15 points, McCusker and Nicolas Dierynck both chipped in with 14 points.  Big Tobias Jense played his best game of the year hitting for 6 points and adding 4 rebouonds.

According to Coach Gonyea, "its nice when kids who normally don't play a lot get their opportunity.  I was particular happy for Charles and Tobias.  They both are starting to come into their own and add quality minutes.   This was a good test to see how is ready for the upcoming weekend.  We will need positive bench play to keep winning."

The win moves CM to a 15-5 record and 10-1 in conference.
