Mustangs Land Foxcroft Standout Crocker

Auburn, ME – The Central Maine Community College athletic department and Head Men's basketball coach Dave Gonyea is pleased to announce Caleb Crocker, a 6'0" guard from Dover Foxcroft, Maine has committed to the Mustangs for the fall of 2020.

Crocker, a team captain and leader of his high school squad, received high praise from his coach, Toby Nelson.  Coach Nelson responds, "Caleb really came into his own during his senior year.  He provided us with so much needed scoring, has an innate ability to see the floor, and a kid who could finish at the hoop.  I truly believe his best days are ahead of him.  I am very happy to have had the honor to coach him.  He makes his team better and leaves a positive mark on this program."

Caleb averaged 19.7 point per game, 4 rebounds per game, and 2 assists per game.  He was solid and did not turn the ball over very often.  He was a 2nd team All-Big East selection, was 3rd overall in scoring in the conference, and he led the league in free throw shooting at 83%.

Caleb will be studying HVAC/Plumbing at the college.

CM Coach Gonyea adds, "I watched Caleb play and left that game knowing I wanted him wearing the red and black.   He is steady, organized, a game strategist, and –something important in our program, he could hit shots. And he could hit big, timely shots when his team needed it.  Shooting at an 83% clip at the free throw is promising as well.   We are all very excited he will be a Mustang.
