Unity, ME - The Lady Mustangs jumped out to an early double-digit lead and never looked back in a route of the Unity College Rams. A dominant performance on the boards a stingy half court defense led to numerous easy baskets for CM.
Nicole Hamblin (Fayette, ME) scored a game-high 16 points and tacked on 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge, Sophomore, Macy Welch (North Anson, ME) tallied 12 points as did freshman guard, Allie Ablondi (Thompson, CT).
Freshman Seve Deery-Deraps (Rangeley, ME) ripped down a game-high 12 rebounds .
The Lady Mustangs led 24-3 after the first quarter and were never challenged.
With the win CM improves to 2-2 on the season and 1-0 in the YSCC. They will be back in action this weekend for a double-header in Boston when they take on Monroe College (NY) on Friday, and NJCAA DIII Preseason #1, Roxbury Community College on Saturday. The Lady Mustangs will then play their third game in as many days when they host Penn State Greater Alleghany on Sunday at 12pm.
