The CM Lady Mustangs have picked up a crucial commitment from Trayneice Mims (New Haven, CT), an electric point guard from Hyde-Woodstock (CT).  In high school Mims earned 1st Team All-State three times, 2nd Team All-State, 1st Team All-Area four times, and scored well over 1,000 career points.  While at Hyde-Woodstock for her postgrad year, she averaged an amazing 33.3 points per game, leading the Wolfpack to the SENE semi-finals. 

According to Head Women's Basketball Coach, Andrew Morong, "Tray has an explosive offensive game that is matched by very few.  She has the ability to score off the dribble, from the mid-range, and from well beyond the three point line.  At Hyde, Tray had to do a lot of the scoring, and as she transitions to the college level she will continue to score, but her ability to set her teammates up will really shine.  She joins loaded recruiting class that will help this program reach for another YSCC championship.  Most importantly, Tray is a tremendous young woman with an uplifting  and contagious personality.  She will really flourish, on and off the court, during her time here at CM."

 According to Mims, "I chose CM because I thought it would be a perfect fit for me not only on the court but in the classroom. My main priority is to just focus on my development and increase my skills as a better student and athlete.  The school has a great sense of community, where faculty, staff, and peers are there to help you succeed and also listen to your ideas as well.  I am really looking forward to being involved at the school beyond just the basketball court, and when I do step out on the court I am looking to have fun playing the game that I love.  I believe that my leadership, sportsmanship, and humor can help the team next year and I couldn't be happier about being a Lady Mustang!
